The facility with 100 beds for asymptomatic patients is exclusively for the residents of N R Constituency as there are no proper health sectors in this constituency.

The aim is to prevent Covid deaths by identifying the infected and treating them at the earliest, said Nabeel Mohamed Khan who had taken a similar initiative in the Covid first wave too.

Rifahul Muslimeen Educational Trust (RMET) Honorary Secretary Taj Mohammed Khan said “Farooqia DEd College in Udayagiri will be used for CCC. Upon the Mysuru City Corporation commissioner’s request, we have provided the building. However, the Government will make rest of the arrangements required.”

Former Mayor Ayub Khan who is playing a key role to establish the CCC said “apart from Farooqia, if required more numbers of Covid Care Centres will be provided if the cases surge in the NR Constituency. The Covid Care Centre will be fully functional from the first week of June.”
