Farmers to get adequate relief towards crop loss, says Cooperation minister Somashekar

Chitradurga: Cooperation and Mysuru district incharge minister S T Somashekar on Saturday said that “Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has directed to estimate the losses incurred by fruit, vegetable and flower growing farmers in the state. The farmers will be provided with adequate compensation towards the crop loss”.

Speaking to media persons on his arrival at Murugha mutt in the city, Somashekar said “The government is committed to protect the interests of farmers. There is no hurdle for them to transport their produce to the market and sell them”.

When compared to other countries, the situation over Coronavirus is being handled well in the country by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The prime minister is also considering the advise of opposition party leaders and it has come in for appreciation from various quarters.

In the State too, CM Yediyurappa has been taking several measures and the people should cooperate.

In Mysuru, especially at Nanjangud, the district administration has been told to take several measures. The district administration is working round the clock and measures are taken to supply stocks of medicine to pharmacy shops.

Most importantly, people should stay home and stay healthy and it’s my earnest appeal, requested Somashekar.

Somashekar who met Dr Shivamurthy Murugha Sharana sought the blessings of the Swamiji.
