Extension of loan repayment period for farmers, SHGs! MCDCC Bank President Harish Gowda thanks CM, Cooperation Minister

Mysuru: G D Harish Gowda President of Mysore and Chamarajanagar Districts Cooperative Central Bank (MCDCC), Mysuru, has thanked Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and Cooperation Minister S T Somashekar for extending the loan repayment period on short, mid-term and long-term loans advanced by the banks.
In the package announced by the chief minister on Wednesday, the farmers and self-help groups who have taken loans from Primary Agriculture Credit Cooperative Banks and Land Development Banks who were previously scheduled to remit their installments from May 01 can pay till July 31.
On April 29, a request in this regard had been submitted to the chief minister through Cooperation Minister S T Somashekar.
It had been requested to extend loan repayment period at least till three months, in the interest of target groups who are already facing financial crises due to Covid-19 situation, added Harish Gowda thanking the chief minister again for considering the demand.
