Mysuru: Women entrepreneurs got a market and sell their own products mostly handlooms at JSS Urban Haath in the city.
Yes, Mysuru is now a prominent hub for Self Help Groups under National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) scheme by the central government, which is encouraging women through various programmes to empower them.
In a first of its kind JSS Urban Haath and NULM have come up with two- day expo at its campus in Hebbal. About 50 Self Help Groups from across the state have opened their stalls here.
From Kollegal to Belagavi SHG women are happy about the expo. Housing and District Minister V Somanna inaugurated the expo.
Somanna said that the expo will be a boost self empowerment of women and their entrepreneurial skills. It is a benefit to both sellers and buyers. JSS Urban Haath is providing place to self help groups.
