Ex- minister Rajashekaran to be laid to rest with state honour: CM

Bengaluru: Leaders irrespective of party paid tributes to former union minister M V Rajashekaran in the city on Monday.

Rajashekaran, 92, passed away due to age related ailments at a hospital.

Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah pays his last respects to mortal remains of former union minister M V Rajashekaran in Bengaluru on Monday.

Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa accompanied by his cabinet colleagues Basavaraj Bommai and B C Patil visited the house of Rajashekaran and paid his last respects to the mortal remains of the latter.

Yediyurappa who described Rajashekaran as an unblemished leader, said ‘the last rites will be conducted with full State honour’. He had a vast concern towards rural development.

Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah, KPCC President D K Shivakumar, former minister H M Revanna and a host of other leaders paid their last respects to the departed leader.

Rajashekaran was the son-in-law of former chief minister late S Nijalingappa.
