Even after 30 hours of accident, actor Sanchari Vijay in comatose state

Bengaluru: National award winning Kannada film actor Sanchari Vijay who is critical after suffering grievous injuries in a road accident, continues to be in a critical state.

Even after 32 hours of the accident, the brain of Vijay who is on life support at Apollo Hospitals on Bannerghatta road, is still in a comatose state. 

While his other body parts are responding to the treatment, there is no response from the brain on expected lines. It is going towards brain failure, say doctors treating him.

According to Vijay’s brother Siddesh the family has already decided to donate his organs. As he was always striving for the cause of society, it has been decided to donate his organs, said Siddesh in a choked tone.

Dr Arun L Naik the senior consultant neurosurgeon at the hospital told media “Vijay is on life support system. Following the severe injuries in his head, only one surgery, an immediate brain surgery was done to remove the brain haemhorrage. He continues to be in coma state and is very critical and is on full life support system.”

Vijay was riding pillion with his friend on rider’s seat, when their motorbike skidded near J P Nagar seventh phase on Saturday. Both suffered injuries and are admitted at the hospital.
