EV bikes for wildlife patrolling in Bandipur Tiger Reserve

Mysuru: Adavi Alert Foundation is taking significant steps to enhance wildlife conservation efforts in Bandipur Tiger Reserve through a collaborative initiative involving St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, Revolt Motors and Sunray INC.
In a ceremony, the foundation officially handed over two Revolt EV bikes to bolster patrol capabilities along the high-traffic inter-State highways that traverse the reserve. This initiative aims to improve safety for both wildlife and forest personnel in critical corridors leading to Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Revolt Motors also contributed by co-sponsoring an additional bike, expanding the fleet to support effective patrolling.
The event was attended by notable officials, including S Prabhakaran, Deputy Conservator of Forests and Director of Bandipur Tiger Reserve, Harini V, AIGF, National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) and N P Naveen Kumar, Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF), Bandipur.
Representatives from St Aloysius, including Dr Ronald Nazareth and Dr Alwyn D’Sa, joined the gathering alongside Dr Denis Fernandis, Director, and Kiran Vati K, Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology.
Pavan Joshi, Founder of the Adavi Alert Foundation, expressed gratitude to the partners for their collaboration, emphasising the importance of enhancing forest protection efforts in Bandipur Tiger Reserve. This initiative marks a significant step forward in ensuring the safety of both wildlife and conservation personnel in the region.
