Mysuru: Dr Srikrishna Mittal was re-elected as the President of Agarwal Society Mysore during Hariyali Teej organised by Agarwal Samaj Mysore at Kaveri Kanya Gurukulam premises situated on the banks of river Kaveri.
The programme was Inaugurated by lighting the lamp in front of the portraits of Lord Shiva Parvati and Maharaj Agrasen.
Divisional Railway Manager of South Western Railway, Mysuru Division Shilpi Agarwal who was the chief guest was honoured by the society.
Later, many competitions were organised for children and elders. Women danced by singing folk songs in the Mayad language of Hariyali Teej. Sinjara was presented to the women.
Later, in the annual general meeting of the society, the income and expenditures and the activities of the previous year were presented.
The new executive body was elected, in which Dr Srikrishna Mittal was re-elected as President for the year 2023-25.
The other office-bearers are; Naveen Gupta, Praveen Goyal, Brij Mohan Bansal and Rajinder Goyal, Vice-President Pawan Kedia, Secretary Pankaj Arya, Treasurer Amitabh Santhalia and Co-Secretary Mahesh Singhal, Anil Mittal, Dhanraj Aggarwal, Hemant Bansal, Sunil Modi, Dinesh Goyal, Ritesh Goyal, Gopiram Gupta, Youth Committee Convenor Deepak Kedia, Women for the patron.
The names of Divisional Convener Deepa Jaluka and Marriage Relations Committee Convener Mahesh Kedia etc. were proposed which were also passed unanimously.
