Dr. G Parameshwar meets Governor

Bengaluru: Former deputy chief minister Dr G Parameshwar called on Governor Thavarchand Gehlot as a representative of the party to brief him about the Congress party’s government formation during his meeting on Thursday.
In the recently concluded State Assembly elections, the Congress Party emerged victorious, securing 135 seats and the Congress Legislature Party meeting will be held in the evening where the party will elect the new CLP leader. During the meeting, an official announcement on the new chief minister and deputy chief minister is expected to be made.
After facing a deadlock for five days, the Congress has finally picked Siddaramaiah as the chief minister candidate and D K Shivakumar as his only deputy chief minister.
