Bengaluru: As the countdown begins for the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with chief ministers of all the States over measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 fourth wave, the hoteliers in Bengaluru are on tenterhooks.
It is obvious that Bengaluru being the most populous city may have to face tougher curbs to check the spread. Hence, Hotel Owners Association Bengaluru President P C Rao has requested the state government not to impose any tough restrictions.
“Let there be compulsory wearing of mask, but 50:50 rules should not be reintroduced”, said Rao in his appeal both for the state government and BBMP.
Rao in his appeal to the government how the businesses had to suffer due to Covid crises in the past, also inflicting sufferings on the common man. Now, the businesses are slowly on the path of recovery. Hence the government should focus on health facilities.
Taking all these into the considerations, the government should take a call, Rao has urged.
