Divya Sara Thomas new Ch’nagar SP; action against illegal mining, Covid-19 her priority

Chamarajanagar: IPS officer Divya Sara Thomas on Friday took charge as the Superintendent of Police of the district.
This follows the transfer of H D Ananda Kumar as SP, Internal Security Division (ISD), Bengaluru. Divya was serving as DCP (CAR headquarters), Bengaluru.
Divya hinted at leaving behind an indelible mark as a woman officer incharge of the district.
“I am also a mother of a baby and will treat the people like my own”, said Divya.
Describing people of the district as a peace loving populace, Divya alluded at her priority of action against illegal mining, along with Coronavirus pandemic.
Saying that she is quite aware of the topography of the district as she had served as Assistant Superintendent of Police ( ASP), Nanjangud sub- division, Mysuru district in 2016, Divya sought the cooperation of people and media persons in realising her plans for the betterment of the district.
