District minister S T Somashekar invites Pramoda Devi Wadiyar for Dasara

Mysuru: Cooperation and district incharge Minister S T Somashekar invited Pramoda Devi Wadiyar for Nada Habba Mysuru Dasara on Tuesday.

Pramoda Devi who accepted the invitation also promised all cooperation to the festival.

Somashekar told media persons later, as per the tradition, Pramoda Devi was invited to Dasara. We sought her cooperation and the latter also reciprocated in equal measure.

Pramoda Devi also sought hassle free cooperation for Palace events. We have also promised to extend full cooperation, said Somashekar.

Dasara will be celebrated from October 7 to 15. For the inaugural session, there is a permission for the audience of 400. While there is no restrictions on visiting the temple.

While Dasara will be inaugurated at Chamundi Hill, cultural programmes and Jamboo Savari will be conducted at Palace premises. Barring these programmes, no other programmes are allowed.

Even for Jamboo Savari only 500 audience will be allowed. We will decide after discussing in detail about the seating arrangements, added Somashekar.

Mayor Sunanda Phalanethra, MLA L Nagendra, MP Prathap Simha, MUDA Chairman H V Rajiv, Deputy Commissioner Dr Bagadi Gautham, ADC Dr B S Manjunatha Swamy, MCC Commissioner G Lakshmikantha Reddy, City BJP President T S Srivatsa and others were present.
