Dismiss Minister Mankal Vaidya from Cabinet: PUCL, Mysore urges CM

1 min read

Mysuru: People’s Union for Civil Liberties (Pucl), Mysore, strongly condemns the ‘irresponsible’ and ‘inciting’ statement of Karwar District in-charge Minister Mankal S Vaidya directing the district administration to ‘shoot at sight/encounter kill’ cattle thieves; and demands his immediate removal from the Siddaramaiah cabinet.

PUCL has urged the district administration to ignore the Minister’s ‘unlawful’ directions and only act as per law.

PUCL cautioned the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah against allowing to continue in his cabinet such peddlers of ‘soft hindutva’, who were ‘wolves in sheep’s clothing’ out to rip apart the secular fabric of the State, treating human lives and common man with scant respect, ignoring the various violent events and deaths the BJP-sponsored cow mania has caused across the north Indian states in the country.

Urging Siddaramaiah to dismiss Vaidya from the Ministry immediately, the PUCL appealed to the Chief Minister to stop the minister from sowing the seeds of violence and divisiveness in Karnataka, said PUCL President Kamal Gopinath and General Secretary V  Purushottam.
