Mysuru: Something different is the buzzword of movie making. Here is a different experiment from a group of passionate film makers from Mysuru.
It’s probably for the first time, a full length Kannada film in Sandalwood has been shot on iPhone. The film titled ‘Dinga’ has been shot in record 27 days in 29 locations. The duration is one hour and 59 minutes.
Dr M R Madhusudhan who is popular as Mugur Madhu Dixit of Sri Mayakara Gurukula in the city is one of its producers.
Dixit told Mysoorunews.com “The plot is woven around the bonding between a man and his pet dog. The intriguing point to be noted is the main protagonist will be suffering from cancer and aspires to provide a safe shelter to his pet before his death. Its sure to touch the heart of many”.
It was the common interest of 10 producers that, the movie definitely took a shape’ said Dixit.
Popular music director Arjun Janya has sung the title track. Singers Anuradha Bhat and Naveen Sajju also have lent their voice.
The movie has been shot using iPhone exploring every aspects of photography.
Abhishek Jain the director said “It was a tough task, but we have accomplished it. Like any commercial movie, we have not compromised on any aspects in making the movie”.
The posters of the film will be released on September 21 at Renukamba Theatre in Bengaluru at 4 pm.
The movie is expected to hit the screens in the last week of November or first week of December.
