Dial ‘Aptha Mithra’ for medical assistance! CM launches App

Mysuru/ Bengaluru: The State government launched ‘Aptha Mithra’ app, for people seeking medical assistance other than Covid-19. 

Software giant Infosys has developed the app which would provide a single platform to all the health queries.
 
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa launched the app on Wednesday.
 
Apart from the digital assistance, people can also dial 14410 helpline for medical support. 
 
Nearly, 2000 persons including medical and health experts have been deputed to Infosys for this work and it is expected to benefit six crore people.
 
Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar had told media persons in Mysuru on Tuesday that “25 IAS officers are working round-the-clock to fight the corona Virus. Besides, at least 30 more labs are being set up and it may double by May end”.
 
As many as 28,000 tests were conducted throughout the state for Covid-19. The state government is effectively fighting the disease. As a result, the mortality rate has come down.  
 
Minister Sudhakar further said that since lockdown is not a permanent solution, the Union government has developed Arogya Setu app to alert people on Covid-19. Also, wearing mask has been made mandatory.
 
During the press meet Minister ST Somashekar, MLAs S A Ramadas, L Nagendra and Harshavardhan, DC Abhiram G Sankar, Mayor Tasneem and ZP President Parimala Shyam were present.
