Development works in Mysuru less than 10%, regrets ZP CEO

Mysuru: Five months are left for the financial year to end and progress achieved in development works in the district is less than 10 per cent.

ZP CEO K Jyoti who reviewed the works at monthly KDP meeting on October 22, was upset over the lackadaisical attitude of the officials in completing the works on time.

There are many ongoing works and the progress is less than 10 %.

Jyoti took the panchayat development officers ( PDO) to task for slow pace of works under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).

The officials should take responsibility in completing the works to reach benefits to people, CEO said.

ZP President Parimala Shyam, Vice- president Gowramma Somashekar, Standing Committee Chairmen Sa Ra Nandeesh and Ramaswamy were in the meeting.
