Mysuru: Pro-Hindu activists staged a hunger strike against the demolition of a temple at Nanjangud, on Tuesday.
Jago Mysuru President Chetan M Gowda and Bajrang Dal leader Rajesh staged one-day hunger strike in front of Gandhi’s bust near Law Court complex on K R Boulevard road.
He held placard- Save Hindu Temples.
Chetan said “In the name of Supreme Court guidelines, Hindu temples are demolished in Mysuru district. While other religious centers or structures are omitted from action. DC and Nanjangud Tahshildar have targeted only the Hindu Temples,” alleged Chetan.
They demanded action against DC and Tahsildar by sacking them from service for pulling down historical temples.
Chetan recently wrote a letter in blood to the President of India seeking action against violence especially after Assembly elections in West Bengal.
