Demanding water, corporator walks into MCC council with empty pot

Mysuru: Demanding drinking water a Corporator walked into the Mysuru City Corporation council meeting with an empty pot.

Independent corporator from Chamundipuram ward M V Ramprasad came with the empty pot to highlight the drinking water problem being faced across the city.

Ramprasad was wearing a shirt and Gandhi cap with a caption- Neerigagi  Kanneeru ( Tears for water) and jumped into the well of the house.

Prasad was supported by other Corporators Ayub Khan and SBM Manju.

Vani vilas Water Works engineer Nagaraj Murthy explained that ‘The repair in motor caused disruption in water supply at 22 wards in N R Assembly constituency.

MCC Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde admitted that ‘there is a problem in both pumping and supply networks’.

The argument came to end after Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath announced to convene a special meeting to discuss about drinking water issues on October 23 at old council hall.
