1 min read

Mysuru: Members of All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) held a protest demanding to postpone degree exams near Crawford Hall at Mysore University here on Monday.

Addressing the protesters, AIDSO district unit president, Subhash said degree classes began just two months ago and the syllabus has not been completed yet. But the students are now worried about the varsity’s hurried decision to hold the exam, he pointed out.

“It is undemocratic on the part of the university to hold exams for having conducting classes only for two months. Many colleges including the Maharaja Colleges were used for elections leaving students with no classes,” he said and demanded the university authorities to postpone the exam.

AIDSO office-bearers Nithin, Chandrika, Chandana, Hema, Rakshita and students Chetan, Nagaraj, Vijay, Raju, Suhail, Santosh, Shiva, Ratan, Sunil participated in the protest.

Hundreds of students from Maharani’s College, Vidyavardhaka First Grade College, Sarada Vilas College and various other colleges participated in the protest.
