2 min read

Mysuru: KPCC spokesperson M Lakshmana on Sunday called Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha “Escapist”.

Lakshmana who had invited Simha for a debate on Mysuru- Bengaluru Expressway on Sunday at Patrakarthara Bhavan, dedicated a chair to the latter with his name slip firmly pasted.

As anticipated Simha didn’t turn up for the debate.

Lakshmana said “We had invited Simha a week ago for an open interaction at Mysore District Journalists Association. On Saturday, Simha wrote a letter stopping low further with the choice of words he has used in the letter. It is proved that he is a brainless and boneless person.”

Simha’s contribution is zero, as he didn’t make any efforts to bring grants to Mysuru.
The NDA government floated Sansad Adarsha Grama (model village) scheme. Simha announced to develop Karimuddenahalli village under the scheme. Not even a single rupee has been spent on that village, he alleged.

“I will go to his office and show documents to prove that the then government released Rs 1500 crore for express way projet,” said Lakshmana.

BJP government is just busy in changing name. Regarding the row over Rajiv Gandhi National Park (Nagarahole forest, with Simha writing to both chief minister and forest minister to rename the park), Lakshmana questioned- Who asked to change the name? You BJP change the name of India into Republic of RSS, said Lakshmana.

It has been seven years since the works on expanding the runway at Mysuru Airport remains on paper. The MP is only talking about it, but lacks progress, alleged Lakshmana.

Where is the blue print of Mysuru which was supposed to be transformed into Paris  as announced by your Prime Minister Narendra Modi? Lakshmana questioned referring to the promise by Modi ahead of Lok Sabha elections in 2014, in Mysuru.

City Congress President R Murthy, KPCC spokesperson Manjula Manasa, former Corporator M Shivanna and Congress leader Ramappa were present.
