Mysuru: Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology & Robotic Surgery (BHIO) has become the first healthcare facility in Mysuru to introduce the cutting-edge Davinci Robotic Surgical System, a revolutionary step in minimally invasive surgery.
The advanced technology promises to significantly enhance surgical outcomes for patients requiring complex procedures.

Dr B S Ajaikumar, Radiation and Medical Oncologist, Executive Chairman of HCG, and Chairman of BHIO, officially launched the new facility on Saturday.
In his address to the media, Dr Ajaikumar expressed his pride in bringing the Davinci system to Mysuru, calling it a “game changer” in the field of robotic surgery.

“We are confident that this will transform clinical outcomes for our patients, improving not only their surgical results but also their overall quality of life. This launch iIsa part of our ongoing commitment to providing the most advanced healthcare technologies to our patients,” said Dr Ajaikumar.
The Davinci system is designed to offer a range of benefits, including reduced pain, less blood loss, shorter hospital stays, and minimal postoperative complications. By facilitating precision surgery, the technology enhances the recovery process, allowing patients to return to their daily lives more quickly.

Dr Ajaikumar further highlighted that under the guidance of expert surgeons, including robotic surgeons Dr Vijay Kumar and Dr Raxith Sringeri the Bharath Institute of Robotic Surgery aims to make advanced surgical care accessible to all patients in the region.
Dr Raxith Sringeri, robotic surgeon at the institute, elaborated on the benefits of the Davinci technology.
“This state-of-the-art facility will position Mysuru as a hub for advanced robotic surgery,” he said.

Dr Sringeri also noted that BHIO will initially focus on oncology, gynecology, urology, and general surgery, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care.
