Dasara jumbo Arjuna comes alive in 3D painting

Mysuru: Dasara elephant Arjuna, the former howdah carrier who was killed during a operation against rogue elephants at Yesalur forest in Hassan district on December 4 came alive in a three dimensional (3D) painting on Friday.
Artists Anil CAVA Bhogasetty and Bharath Yoga, Rajesh B R and Chetan painted the three dimensional image of the famed elephant in front of Balarama Gate of Mysuru Palace, as a mark of tribute to the elephant.
With the painting, the inseparable bond between Arjuna and Mysuru, where the pachyderm stole the hearts of many with his gentle walk during Jamboo Savari procession, the last leg of Mysuru Dasara, from 2012 to 2019 was recalled, among those present.
The floral tributes was offered to the painting by President of Mysore District Journalist Association S T Ravikumar, General Secretary M Subramanya, State Committee Representative B Raghavendra, Hotel Owners Association President C Narayan Gowda, photographers S R Madhusudhan and G S Ravishankar, President of Karnataka Kavalu Pade M Mohan Kumar Gowda, retired Manager of Canara Bank Sukumar, photographer K B Mahesh, President of Mysore Photographic Association A Shanthappa, Secretary Muralidhar, Nagendra Kumar of Bengaluru who were present.
Many tourists who came to Mysuru Palace also took a selfie with the 3D painting of Arjuna.
