Dasara inauguration by politician S M Krishna a bad precedent, says AAP

Mysuru: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken objection to the government’s selection of a politician to inaugurate the world famous Darsara Celebration this year.
Speaking against the selection, AAP Mysuru District Convener Malavika Gubbivani said “every year well known achievers from various fields of Literature and Fine Arts were invited to inaugurate the traditional festival, but this time a politician and former chief minister S M Krishna is being asked to do the honours, which will set a bad precedent. In the coming years, every government in future, is likely follow this bad precedent and invite their own political party leaders.”
Other than politics, S M Krishna’s contribution to the field of Arts & Culture is zero. There are many distinguished personalities who have enriched the culture and traditions of our state, who could have been invited but the government by this ill-advised move, has chosen to insult the achievers in the Literary, Arts and Cultural fields.
There is still time and the government should seriously rethink on this issue, urged Malavika Gubbivani.
