Dasara 2023: Jamboo Savari to March through evening this year too

Mysuru: Expect the spectacle of Jamboo Savari on Vijayadashami day in the evening hours, this year too. After checking through almanac of Mysore Palace, Melukote and Vontikoppal, the sacred rituals of Dasara have been charted out.
Accordingly, on October 15, puja will be offered to ruling deity Goddess Chamundeshwari atop Chamundi Hills from 10.15 am to 10.36 am to inaugurate the ten-day Dasara festivities.
On October 24 – on Vijayadashami Day – Chief Minister will perform Nandi puja at Kote Anjaneya temple situated on the north of Mysore Palace between 1.46 pm and 2.08 pm. Later, Chief Minister and other dignitaries will shower flower petals to inaugurate Jamboo Savari from 4.40 pm to 5 pm.
Last year too Jamboo Savari was inaugurated at 5.07 pm to 5.18 pm.
