Daring Act! Two activists stage protest defying prohibitory orders

Mysuru: Two social activists staged protest on December 19, defying the prohibitory orders imposed by the police in the city till December 21.

Ugranarasimhe Gowda and former Corporator K C Showkath Pasha staged a peaceful sit-in, in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s bust near Law Courts complex opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act and NRC.

Gowda blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for dividing the country in the name of religion. Diversity is the soul of the country, but Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are indulge in misrule.

Gowda said “We had planned to join the protest at Town Hall. However as the protest was cancelled in the wake of prohibitory orders under section 144 CrPC, it was decided to stage a peaceful protest.

Gowda was wearing black muffler to express his angst, while Pasha had wrapped a black band on his right shoulder.
