Dancer Ramu Kanagal passes away

Bengaluru: Ace Kannada film director late Puttanna Kanagal’s son Ramu Kanagal passed away due to Covid-19 second wave on Wednesday.
Ramu who was admitted to Victoria Hospital four days ago, breathed his last at around 5.30 AM.
The 54-year old Ramu was a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and was running Kanagal Natyalaya in Bengaluru.
Ramu did his higher studies in Madras (now Chennai), before engaging in dance choreography. He was a bachelor and is survived by his mother Nagalakshmi, siblings and a host of relatives and friends.
Puttanna Kanagal was a native of Kanagal in Mysuru. He passed away in June 1985.
