Dakshina Kannada DC resigns; CM Yediyurappa seeks information

Mangaluru: IAS officer S Sasikanth Senthil who was serving as the deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada has tendered his resignation on September 6.

He has conveyed the decision to the assistant director of information and public relations department Khader Shah over phone.

Sasikanth who has cited it as a purely personal decision to take the quit call, was on leave from the past few days. He was often travelling to Bengaluru.

Senthil has however expressed his concern about the crumbling foundation of democracy and the difficult situations ahead.

The resignation is not connected to my current role as deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada. I wish well for all my fellow staff and their families”, Senthil has said
