D K Suresh behaved like Sholay’s ‘Gabbar Singh’ in Ramnagar, mocks Mysuru district BJP spokesperson M A Mohan

Mysuru: Following the spat between Higher Education Minister and Ramanagar district incharge minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan and Bengaluru rural MP D K Suresh, BJP Mysuru district spokesperson M A Mohan likened Suresh to Gabbar Singh the popular villain character of Bollywood movie- Sholay.

Mohan told media persons on Tuesday “Ramnagar came to be popular across the country in 1975 as Sholay was shot in the district then and also because of the popular character Gabbar Singh. Now, Ramnagar was the matter of heated debate again with the behaviour of D K Suresh like ditto Gabbar Singh.”

When the chief minister is presiding over a programme to dedicate the statues of Dr B R Ambedkar and Kempegowda, Suresh like Gabbar Singh behaved in anti-constitutional manner, thus insulting the people of the State.

Congress party should teach its MP and MLAs to behave according to the Constitution and the people should think before electing such goons, Mohan said.

Mohan also blamed Congress for the current fiasco over the implementation of Mekedatu project. It was Congress that fomented the hurdle and now is playing a gimmick in the name of padayatra. It was Congress that formed national green tribunal ( NGT) to decide on Mekedatu. Hence, the meeting conducted by D K Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah in Mysuru on Monday reminds me of “Bruhannale” ( a character of Arjuna in epic Mahabharata), said Mohan in a mocking tone.

Referring to the allegations of Congress spokesperson M Lakshmana questioning the contributions of district incharge minister S T Somashekar to the district, Mohan wanted to know whether he has at least an ounce of knowledge.

The district minister released Rs 374 crores for the development of MUDA layouts and Rs 50 crore alone for Chamaraja constituency, followed by Rs 109 crores for installation of LED bulbs and Rs 200 crores for development of K R and N R Assembly constituencies.

BJP leaders Mirle Srinivas Gowda, Dr K Vasanth Kumar, N Rajkumar, H H Mahesh ( Cable) and Mahesh Raje Urs were present.
