Odisha: The worst fear is here as Cyclone Fani has made a landfall in Odisha on Friday. It started at 8 am with the cyclone making a landfall near Puri and is expected to hit hard for the next two ho0urs in the interior parts of the State.
Acco0rding to0 the latest inputs, Puri is witnessing a wind speed of 142 km/ hour that is expected to reach 180 to 200 km/ hour.
Fourteen to 15 districts are most likely to be worst affected, forcing the authorities to evacuate over 11 lakh people in the last 24 hours. Three to four lakh are totally evacuated from Ganjam and Puri.
All the flights are cancelled from Bhubaneshewar from midnight hours and so also 0ver 150 trains have been cancelled including 80 passenger trains.
West Bengal is also in the line of Fani,with the cycl0ne exp-ected to reach the particular state after crossing over Odisha.
O)n Thursday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the preparedness on the part of the officials in view of Fani.
