Cyberverse Foundation launches Cybersecurity School Hygiene program

Mysuru: The Cyberverse Foundation has officially launched its initiative, the “Cybersecurity School Hygiene Program”, in collaboration with IEEE at MYRA School of Business. This program marks a significant step towards enhancing digital safety awareness and practices among School students, educators, and the community.
This program is powered by AKS Institute of Cyber Technology Pvt Ltd (AKSICT).
The “Cybersecurity School Hygiene Program” was launched on Monday, at the MYRA School of Business in the city.

Scion of erstwhile royal family of Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Chairman, Advisory Board, Cyberverse Foundation, graced the occasion by his presence. Srikanth Chandrasekaran, Country Head, IEEE India Operations, H K Pandu, DDPI, Mysuru and Dr Ramasastry Ambarish, Chairman, Governing Council, MYRA school of Business, also addressed the gathering which included more than 120 delegates from over 60 different schools in and around Mysuru.

“Creating cyber awareness among schools across India is a sine qua non for building a resilient cybersecurity ecosystem for safeguarding the country’s digital infrastructure”, said YKC Wadiyar, while commending both IEEE and Cyberverse and their trail blazing initiative.
“IEEE has a critical focus on building end-2-end trust on devices and systems and addressing cybersecurity is a core focus of the foundational technologies practice. The two primary components in driving trust is to bring experts to develop critical standards and develop key skills and training programs” said Srikanth Chandrasekaran.

The “Cybersecurity School Hygiene Program” is designed to address the growing need for comprehensive cybersecurity education in schools. In an era where digital technology is integral to education, it is crucial to equip students with the knowledge and skills to navigate the online world safely and responsibly.

The Cyberverse Foundation is a section 8 company dedicated to promoting cybersecurity awareness and education. The “Cybersecurity School Hygiene Program” will be hosted on the IEEE Blended Learning Program ( IEEE BLP ) Platform, ensuring its scalability to meet the diverse requirements of educational institutions thereby effectively contributing to the Foundation’s mission of creating a widespread awareness program.
