Mysuru: Historian Prof P V Nanjaraje Urs on Thursday alleged that crores of money is being looted in the name of Dasara.
Urs told media persons “does the celebration of simple Dasara means spending Rs 15 crore? It is nothing but shameful to the state government”.
When the Covid 19 pandemic is at its peak, state government is playing with public health. Better they spend the money on improving the health care facilities. There is no blessings from organising cultural programmes and procession, Urs claimed.
People are unable to breath properly The government must provide oxygenated beds and ventilators, Urs demanded.
These politicians and officers are rlooting public money in the name of Dasara celebrations, reiterated Urs.
