Covid vaccination for journalists! MDJA already takes lead in giving jab

Mysuru: Mysore District Journalists Association (MDJA) has organised Covid-19 vaccination drive for the journalists in the age group of 18 years and above.

The drive launched on May 4, will be continued on May 6 and May 7 at Gopalgowda Shantaveri Memorial Hospital in the city.

According to MDJA President S T Ravikumar and General Secretary Subramanya “Journalists should make use of the facility. They should bring aadhaar card and ID card issued by respective organisations to take the jab.”

Meanwhile, following the announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi considering journalists working during Covid-19 as ‘Corona Warriors’, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar have also directed the authorities to initiate measures to give Covid vaccination to them on priority.

Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) President Shivanand Tagaur had also raised the issue with authorities concerned in this regard.
