Covid crises may change for good, if local MLA is made district minister, feels ex-MLA Vasu

Mysuru: Former MLA Vasu regretted that the authorities in the district have totally failed to handle Covid crises. However the situation may improve if an insider MLA, an elected representative from the district is made the district minister, said Vasu.

“The Covid situation in Mysuru has gone out of hands. The district minister is a non-Mysurean, it is also one of the reasons for the present situation related to the pandemic that is more of loopholes. If either S A Ramadass ( BJP MLA from Krishnaraja Assembly constituency) or any other Mysuru based MLAs are elevated to hold the reins, the situation may improve”, felt Vasu.

State government has failed on all the fronts in health care. There is a lack of transparency in the administration as the state government is only busy in politics. Now, the focus is on the by-election to Sira Assembly constituency, alleged Vasu.

The government medical staff are working under pressure. The government needs to provide better facilities to Covid warriors, said Vasu.
