Mysuru: In connection with the wide spread of COVID-19 across the globe, as a part of social responsibility Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Unit of GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysuru distributed the essential materials to village panchayaths & primary health centres of adopted villages recently.
The essential materials like face covers (Masks), hand sanitisers & hand washing solution worth Rs 10,000 were distributed to village panchayat offices & primary health centres of Siddalingapura, Naganahalli & Palahalli villages which are adopted villages under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Scheme, Government of India.
The institute UBA team is intended to distribute the essential materials in the second phase to the government schools, anganavadi centres and community library centres situated in the adopted villages during the month of June.
The event is supported by Vanaja B Pandit, Honorary Secretary, GSSS (R), R K Bharath, CEO, GSSS(R), Anupama B Pandit, Administrative Officer, GSSSIETW & Dr M Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW, Mysuru.
The event was coordinated by Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Coordinators Sheshadri S N, Assistant professor, Department of Chemistry and Syeda Nausheen Fathima, Assistant professor, Department of Civil Engineering.
