Covid-19: Seven more persons test positive in Mysuru; total 28

Mysuru: Seven more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Mysuru taking the total tally to 28. 

According to the bulletin released by Health and Family Welfare Department, of the seven persons, four had a history of travelling to Delhi, another had come in contact with the one of the affected in Nanjangud pharma company and it is not known how the other two contracted the virus. It is under investigation.
 
It must be noted here that, until April 3, Mysuru had 21 cases and within 24 hours, seven new cases have emerged taking the tally to 28.
 
According to Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar, among the seven new cases, two (P139 and P140) are the contacts of P52 and P78, the workers of pharmaceutical factory in Nanjangud.
 
Moreover, P134 to P138 are the people who went to Delhi and came back in January. They have been in Mysuru till mid march and from March 13 to March 30, they’ve been in Mandya district. On March 30, they were taken into quarantine and tested. They have tested positive now.
 
DC however clarified that all five are residents of Delhi, but did not take part in Jamaat meeting in Delhi.
