Covid-19! SDPI launches public campaign to create awareness

Mysuru: Following the spike in Covid-19 cases, Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) launched a public awareness campaign in the city on Friday.

SDPI National General Secretary Abdul Majeed launched the campaign near Madani Masjid, Shantinagar in the city.

Covid related deaths in Mysuru are increasing manifold when compared to state average. Hence the campaign is launched with a slogan- No fear, let there be awareness” to create awareness among the people.

Majeed said “Pandemic has rattled the world to a grave extent and India is no exception. In Karnataka too, especially in Mysuru, the situation is no different as the intensity of deaths in the district is more than the state average and also a surge in positive cases. The SDPI which had anticipated the situation had decided to take some measures to break the chain”.

The party had met district health officer and other health officials and discussed with them to be agile in treating the cases without any delay and lapses.

The party has also exhorted the government to launch a high level inquiry into Corona deaths, said Majeed.

National Executive Committee member of Popular Front of India (PFI) Moulana Kaleem Ulla, SDPI State Committee member Amzad Khan, PFI district president Safiulla, secretary Sulaiman, SDPI leaders Mohammed Zakaulla, Rafath Khan, Haji Nusrulla, Moulana Nooruddin, Moulana Akmal, Hafeez Mubaraq and others were present.
