Covid-19: Rotary Mysuru and GSS come to the aid of needy

Mysuru: To mitigate the suffering caused by the Covid-19 resulting in lockdown, the Rotary Club of Mysore and GSS volunteers are supplying food grains to the needy, especially among daily wage workers. 

 
Working on a plan laid out by Rotary president Chetan Vishwanath and GSS Srihari, the Rotarians are distributing visors, masks and dry ration to the needy. 
Rotary has procured 3,500 visors and distributed among pourakarmikas, police and health officials who are at the forefront in fighting the disease.

Besides, they have distributed 200 masks to hospital personnel and pourakarmikas. They have raised money from their members. Some too have contributed towards the cause. 
 
A pack of dry ration including rice, dal and others are being packed at Vidyaranya Convention Hall let out by Rotarians Mr Venkatesh and Dr Vidya to be distributed later. 
 
They are also involved in spreading awareness on social distancing, hand wash and such to prevent the spread of the virus.
