Mysuru: There are not many Mumbai-returnees in Mysuru as is being speculated for the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the district.  But there are quite a good number of people who have returned from Tamil Nadu and Kerala, clarified DC Abhiram G Sankar.

According to him, as many as 400 persons had registered to return to Mysuru from Mumbai through the Seva Sindhu App. But only, 200 have come. But the number of people who have come from neighbouring districts stands at 2000 and among them returnees from Tamil Nadu and Kerala are high, he informed.
DC Sankar further said that on an average, 400-500 samples are being tested in a day in the district and not many reports are expected from the lab. This indicates the number of positive cases are less, he stressed. Currently, 200 persons are in quarantine in Mysuru.
He urged the people to get a free swab test if they are having cold or cough.
