Covid-19 norms in Kodagu! Travellers from Kerala must carry RTPCR -ve report not older than 72 hours

Kodagu: To check the spread of Covid-19, the district administration has issued modified guidelines to be effective from 6 AM, July 5 to 6 AM, July 19.

No activities are permitted in containment zones.

From Monday to Friday all the essential shops will be kept open between 6 AM and 2 PM, according to deputy commissioner .

It includes shops selling groceries, vegetables, fish and meat shops, Hopcoms outlets, raincoat, gum boots, umbrella and medicines.

Agriculture related shops will also remain open in the stipulated time and permission will be given to load and unload manure same day. The suppliers should possess the sales receipt at the time of transit.

The fair price shops will also be open from Monday to Friday.

Standalone milk booths, hotels and restaurants are allowed to offer take aways only from 6 AM to 2 PM. The home delivery of food from hotels and restaurants is allowed from 6 AM to 8 PM.

Similarly liquor vends of all types of licence are also allowed to open to sell only parcel service from 6 am to 2 pm.

Importantly those who travel to Kodagu from different parts of the state and country must be under home quarantine for 14 days. They should also provide their phone number and details related to their stay at the checkpost.

Those who come from Kerala must carry Covid-19 RTPCR negative report not older than 72 hours.

Home stays, lodges and resorts are restricted from offering lodging facility.

The weekend curfew will be effective from Friday 9 PM to Monday 6 AM. However, it will be not applicable to medical services, emergency, goods vehicles and essential services.

Misuse or violation of restrictions will be dealt under IPC 188, Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act 2020, Disaster Management Act 2005 attracting punitive action.
