Covid-19: No markets for two days, violators to lose licence

Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation has ordered major markets in the city to shutdown in an effort to prevent the spread of Corona virus.

The district is witnessing many Covid-19 cases by the day. The civic body has asked markets to close for two days and violators would face cancellation of their licence. 

In its notice dated June 24, the civic body had asked vendors to close markets for four days. However, it had relaxed rules for two days to the traders at Devaraja Market, Santhepet, Shivarampet, Mannars Market, Boti Bazaar to empty the stock. But now they have been asked to close do that the civic body could sanitise the while area.
It warned the vendors not to violate rules, least may face cancellation of their licence.
