Covid-19: Mobile fever clinic screens 1,489 people in first phase

Mysuru: As many as 1,489 people were screened for Covid-19 symptoms by the mobile fever clinic that went on its maiden visit at various localities in the city on Thursday.  

The mobile clinic was launched by the district incharge minister S T Somashekhar on Wednesday.
 
The clinic is a part of the government’s effort to check the spread of the Corona virus and also to provide health care at people’s doorstep.
 
On Thursday, the clinic screened people in various localities including Jyothi Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Shri Nagar, Sathya Nagar, B M Shree Nagar, Mandi Mohalla, Manjunatha Pura, A K Colony, Chinnagiri Koppal, Ramabhai Nagar, Sunnadakeri and Medar Block, said Dr D G Nagaraj, MCC Health Officer.
 
Twelve medical teams comprising doctors, nurses, team to screen the general illness and symptoms of Covid19. MCC provided necessary medicines for general complaints. It had also provided Personal Protection Equipment kits to each corona warriors.
