Covid-19: Minister directs officials to conduct massive test on senior citizens

Mysuru: Alarmed by the Severe Acute Respiratory Illness (SARI) cases, Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar asked the district administration to test people above 60 years irrespective of their illnesses.
He was speaking at a meeting on Covid-19 held here at Zilla Panchayat on Tuesday. His direction came after Deputy Commissioner informed the meeting that two Covid-19 patients in the district are being treated for SARI too. Both are in ICU, he informed.
Minister Sudhakar said the district administration must conduct massive test for everyone, especially on those above 60 years.
Minister ST Somashekhar too was present at the meeting.
