Covid-19! Karnataka modifies home quarantine norms

Mysuru: State government relaxed home quarantine norms and ordered strict 14 days home quarantine for inter- state travellers including Maharashtra. 

On Monday state government through revenue department released modified quarantine rules. 
 
Whereas, the state government issued Unlock 2 guidelines dated June 30, which permits reopening of more activities in a calibrated manner, in areas outside the Containment Zones, and to extend lockdown in Containment Zones up to July 31. The guidelines also permit unrestricted inter- state movement of persons and goods adhering to the SOPs/Guidelines issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare and Department of Revenue (Disaster Management).
 
Whereas, Department of Health and Family Welfare issued revised SOP for the movement of persons from other State to Karnataka.  
 
The quarantine norms are regularly reviewed and calibrated with the prevailing Unlock 2 guidelines and infusion of technology and community involvement to enforce strict home quarantine. In the light of the above, the quarantine norms issued. 
 
Quarantine Norms:
 
a. Persons coming from other State to Karnataka, including Maharashtra, shall be placed in 14-days Home Quarantine. issued on 08.06.2020 by the Department of Health and Family Welfare shall continue to be in force until further orders.
