Covid-19! India to continue to be under lockdown till May 03

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday declared that the lockdown will be extended till May 03 in the country.

Modi  also explained the seven steps (Saptapadi) to be followed to to continue the fight against Coronavirus.

They are- take care of elderly people at home, maintain social distancing, take home remedy to boost immunity, down arogya setup app and follow the instructions of AYUSH ministry, help the poor and needy people, don’t sack any staff and respect and honour COVID Warriors like- doctors, nurses, safari karmacharis, police and others.

Modi who acknowledged the cooperation of the people irrespective of daily wagers and others in implementing the lockdown in the country a main step to keep covid- 19 under check, also promised to relax some of the restrictions in place after April 20, only if the situation is under control. He also pointed that ” It’s not the time to think about economy, though one can’t deny that we have to pay heavily for the losses. But, the lives of the people assume significance and any death due to Coronavirus, will throw up a new challenge”.

It is only due to the integrated and Cooperative approach of the officials that the country took preventive measures even before there were no cases in the country. It was made mandatory to screen the health of every passenger on arrival at airports and the foreign returnees were put under 14 days quarantine.

Modi also appealed to people to use home made mask.
