Mysuru: “Five children’s have so far died and 123 are affected by Covid 19 in the district,” said Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha on Thursday.

Simha told media, “We are in the right direction to control Covid. We earlier visited Skanray Technologies and interacted with medicos and ventilator manufacturers. During that, we came know about five children dying due to Covid and 123 kids contracting the virus in Mysuru,” Pratap Simha claimed.

In this wake, 50 beds at Seth Mohandas Tulsidas Hospital in Mysuru are exclusively allotted to treat the infected kids, said Simha.

He also pointed out that the Task Force is formed by District Minister S T Somashekar. It’s time to work and not to rest at home. In this way we all have shared various responsibilities and are active in the field. It has helped in streamlining the system related to oxygen, beds and necessary drugs. Now, we are focusing on rural Mysuru to safeguard people from the pandemic, he added.

No one should stay home after testing positive. Otherwise we will take you to Covid Care Center. Covid Mithra is the best model and everyone in need are now heading to Covid Mithra and get the tests done on their own in rural areas. We are suggesting to paste stickers about Pancha Suthras to be followed strictly.

“I don’t want to blame anybody for Chamarajanagar oxygen tragedy. All we want now is to streamline the Covid control measures,” said Simha.

Simha denied to comment on political developments in the State.

MUDA Chairman H V Rajiv was present.
