Covid-19! Chamundeshwari temple at Chamundi Hill closed for visitors from today

Mysuru: In the wake of Corona outburst in Mysuru, district administration has restricted public entry to Sri Chamundeshwari temple atop Chamundi Hill.
The entry to the temple is closed from the midnight of October 14 to 18 and from October 23, 5 am to midnight of November 01. The entry of visitors through stairs is also banned during the period, according to a notification from Deputy Commissioner Rohini V Sindhuri.
Similarly, the programme organised to inaugurate Navaratri festivities at Chamundi hill on October 17 is restricted for only invitees, while it is prohibited for the general public. While the officers and others involved in preparing for Navaratri will be allowed from October 15 to 17.
Barring the vehicles of dignitaries covered under protocol, officers and villagers of the hill and emergency vehicles, other vehicles will be not allowed during the period.
The distribution of Prasada both by the temple and donors is also restricted, the notification added.
