Covid-19: 64 persons isolated in Mysuru district, no positive cases reported

Mysuru: Despite 64 persons being isolated at their respective houses, fortunately there has been no cases of Covid- 19 reported in Mysuru.

In its health bulletin released by the Mysuru district administration dated March 17, 2020, the health department has said that so far, no cases have been detected as positive. 

As of now 127 international passengers have been screened for Corona Virus and 65 persons who have arrived from abroad have been isolated at the house level, while 62 persons have completed the quarantine cycle of 14 days. About 16 persons who were tested for Corona virus have been found negative. There has been no person who has been shifted to Isolation ward.

The district administration has set up a helpline no 1077 at the deputy commissioner’s office in addition to 104 Arogya Sahayavani helpline.

The district administration has appealed to the people, especially who have returned from Covid – 19 affected countries or been in contact with such a person to maintain self-quarantine for 14 days – from the time of their arrival – irrespective of the symptoms. Besides, they should also notify the nearest government hospital or call 1077 or 104 helpline.

The administration has also urged the people to maintain personal hygiene, use tissue paper or handkerchief while coughing or sneezing, frequently wash hands with soap and water or use hand sanitiser. They have also been requested to avoid mass gatherings.
