Mysuru: Brisk voting is underway for the election to Legislative Council from Mysuru-Chamarajanagar local bodies constituency seeing 68.7 per cent voting till 2 pm.
According to the details provided by the department of information and public relations, ” as many as 4663 voters had exercised their franchise in six hours since the voting began at 8 AM. It included highest of 2428 female voters and 2235 male. Chamarajanagar district had registered highest turn out of 74.77 pc with a total of 1701 against 2275 voting and Mysuru 65.65 pc with 2962 voting against total 4512 in electoral roll.”
BJP has fielded R Raghu Kautilya, Congress Dr D Thimmaiah and JDS C N Manjegowda. Former Chamarajanagar MLA Vatal Nagaraj is also testing his mettle from his own Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha.
