Coronavirus! Nanjangud pharma factory worker from Chamarajanagar tests negative

Chamarajanagar: In a matter of relief, a man from the city working at the pharmaceutical factory in Nanjangud has tested negative for Coronavirus.

The district administration had sent samples of his blood and throat swabs for test at Mysore Medical College and Research Institute ( MMC and RI). The results were received on Tuesday, according to Deputy Commissioner Dr M R Ravi.

So far there are no cases of virus in the district and the people need not panic, said DC.

As a precautionary measure, 49 people working in Nanjangud factory have been identified and  kept under isolation at quarantine centre set up at Dr B R Ambedkar Bhavan in the city.

It may be recalled that, 43 people have returned from foreign countries and one among them is under home quarantine. Four are quarantined at Ambedkar Bhavan. The remaining 38 have completed their quarantine period of 14 days.
