Coronavirus! Mysuru’s very own ‘Thriller Manju’ feeds empty stomach

Mysuru: With the normal life in disarray over the lockdown declared in the district in the wake of Coronavirus, many are pushed to the streets further.

Worst affected are those destitute who neither have a roof of their own nor kitchen to feed selves. Deeply moved by the plight of such people, a hotelier is reaching them with food packets.

Manjunath who is known as “Thriller Manju” among his friends is distributing food packets to the needy. He is the owner of SS Military Hotel on Ele Thota road and also runs a fast food near Sterling talkies on Akkamahadevi road.

Manju is distributing not less than 200 packets with curd rice daily since Janata Curfew. He along with his friends sets out in his Maruti van in search of such people and hands over them food packets.

From Chamundipuram to K R Hospital Circle, he distributed 173 packets on the day of Curfew.

On Monday, when the lockdown began, Manju was setting out on his noble task, wen he took time to speak to Mysoorunews.com

” I am just doing it in the interest of the starving people”, said Manju.
